A little about me:

When I was 5 maybe 6 years old my Uncle Frank gave me a book about insects and the images were fascinating to me. I never knew there were so many different shapes, sizes, colors, types, etc.  This is  the earliest memory I can trace back too when it comes to my love for the creepy crawlies.  I do remember catching dragonflies when we lived in Florida and letting them loose in our house.  My poor mother! Lets fast forward a number of years and I just purchased my first macro lens.  The Canon 100mm macro… what a great lens! I had the Canon 20d at the time and we were living in Okinawa. We’ve worked with Monica a few times and in this session we shot at the hole in the rock located at Papago Park here in Phoenix.  I will say, brining all the gear up to shoot was not a lot of fun but the end results were worth it.  Have a look at the details to see how this was shot.

This was a two part session. The first part was to capture shots of Denise outdoors in her running gear. She had just completed a 17 mile run prior to the shoot… pretty amazing! I recorded  this short video a few years ago…  I will shoot it again shortly.  But… for the time being have a look and let  me know what you think.  The multicolored water shots had a few dvds in the water bouncing the colors back from the flash. Same principle as the original video. Read More
